As Ilam Province has several high and low areas, it has got a diverse weather. The high points of Kabir Kuh are cold with the temperature falling below zero. In the western and south-western plains--which cover the dry deserts of Mehran, Dehloran and Dasht Abbasi and their height is 300 meters above the sea level--the weather is quite warm. The south-western scorching winds sweep through the area in the summer.
