MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Forecasters say a big storm that has dumped ice and snow in the middle of the nation will glaze highways in the East with ice on Christmas
Parts of the Plains and the Midwest could see up to two feet of snow by tomorrow.
Blizzard warnings have been issued for Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas and Wisconsin.
Drivers have been encouraged to pack emergency kits before heading out. Slippery roads are blamed for at least 14 deaths this week. Blowing snow has forced sections of interstates in Oklahoma, South Dakota and Texas to close.
The storm has also made air traffic a hassle. Passengers and employees were stranded in Oklahoma City when the state's largest airport had to close. And there have been cancelations and delays from Minneapolis to Houston.
