Day-Trip is the first festival where you can not tell the difference between foreigners and locals, because they all behave and dress like total tourists. There are 5 destinations with bands, dj’s, interactive theatre and surprise acts. If you are looking for a standard day out in Amsterdam, then please look elsewhere. But if you like to go bananas, then you may have found the perfect excuse...
By Tuk Tuk: Get to Dam Square or Leidseplain and get a Tuk Tuk. It’s a Thai alternative for a taxi, which can fit 3 persons. At €6,50 one way, they made us special price ;)
By public transport: Take tram line 7 or 14 towards Slotermeer. Get out at the last stop and follow the tourists ;)
By bike: It's about 7km from the Dam Square. Go straight to the Rozengracht, turn right on the Marnixstraat, and immediately left after the Police Station, and then basically go straight for 6km over 2e Hugo de Grootstraat - Jan van Galenstraat - Burgemeester Roellstraat. When you reach a roundabout, turn left. You'll find the gate on your left hand side after 300m.
By car: Get on to the A10 Amsterdam Ring West. Take exit Geuzenveld-s105 toward Jan van Galenstraat/s105. Follow s105 westwards, past the hospital onto Burgemeester Roellstraat. After 1.6km, turn left at the roundabout towards Slotermeerlaan. Turn left again after 300m and follow instructions to park your car.
