The Monaco Government Tourist and Convention Authority (MGTCA), which recently conducted road shows in India, will be launching its international product, 'Passport to Monte-Carlo', in the Indian market by mid-2008. It will market the product by partnering with selected tour operators in the country.
"It is a promotional product for travellers who put up in Monaco for a minimum of two nights. The 'passport' entitles tourists to free helicopter transfer from the Nice Cote d'Azur Airport in France to Monaco. It also allows travellers to visit all places of tourist interest in Monaco at free or nominal cost and book rooms at discounted rates with certain hotels," said Jean Jose Bertani, Director, Leisure Travel, Monaco.
Introducing the 'passport' in India is an initiative to attract its target audience of high-end Free Individual Travellers (FITs). Further, it is looking to educate the Indian travel trade about Monaco's offerings and plans to appoint more than two tour operators as General Sales Agents (GSAs) in the country by June, 2008.
