The Czech Republic is experiencing a boom of high-spending tourists, according to hotel occupancy figures released Thursday.
The top end four and five star hotels saw an 11 percent increase in occupany rates in 2007, the figures show.
The majority of tourists, 60 percent, base themselves in Prague.
At least 17 new luxury hotels are due to open in the capital over the next two years, according to the country's travel agent association.
A total of 6.7 million foreign tourists visited the Czech Republic in 2007, a rise of 3.8 percent on the previous year.
