At the last week session of the Russia-Iran Commission on Trade and Economy Cooperation Iran and the Russian Federal Tourism Agency signed an agreement on tourism development.

The countries intend to simplify the formalities concerning tourist exchange between Russia and Iran, to organize informative trips for travel industry workers and journalists of the two countries, and to organize international travel exhibitions together.

In particular, the Iranian side expresses interest in the international travel exhibition Intourmarket that will take place in Moscow 15-18 March 2008. It is not excluded that at this exhibition Iran for the first time will present the travel potential of the country which is now cannot be called a popular travel destination amongst Russians.
