Starquest Expeditions’ Around the World trips are highly popular, with seven of their trips anticipated for 2008, and 90% of the seats already sold.

The luxury travel market has become increasingly popular in the United States, with the Activity Sector of TUI Travel already offering a number of companies that cater towards the sector.

This includes TCS Expeditions as well as the recently-acquired Starquest, which will both operate separately under their own management teams.

“This is a tremendous opportunity to increase our presence in what is a key market for us. We have a stated strategy of increasing our portfolio of specialist niche businesses and the acquisition of Starquest, which has substantial growth opportunities, gives us a significant leadership position in the US private jet adventure market,” said John Wilbleton, Managing Director of TUI Travel’s Activity Sector.
