Two Fishguard men have been cleared of charges of of alleged assault following a Crown Prosecution Service decision not to proceed with their prosecution.

Kevin John Kinsella, aged 21, of 15, Maescrug, Stop and Call, Goodwick, and 18-year-old Daniel Wynne Jones of 9, Danybryn, Fishguard, each faced two charges of assault and assault occasioning actual bodily harm on Dutch visitors on July 29th last year.

Following several adjournments when it was stated there were problems bringing prosecution witnesses from Holland, magistrates at Haverfordwest today dismissed the charges after being told the case was being discontinued.
