A TOURIST bus is set to link popular attractions in East Lothian, including Glenkinchie Distillery and the Scottish Seabird Centre.
Haddington Community Council has requested the new service, which would operate two days a week.
It would use the town as its base and travel in loops of the western and eastern halves of the county on alternative days, while passengers would pay a flat rate and could get on and off at different tourist attractions.
These would include Tantallon Castle, the Museum of Flight and Concorde.
Community council chairwoman Jan Wilson has discussed the idea with council leader David Berry. They have asked for the use of one of the authority's single decker buses.
She said: "Getting to some of the attractions can be extremely difficult if you don't have a car."
