A passenger ship carrying 250 tourists is visiting Jeddah for a day’s stay tomorrow.
A majority of them will be undertaking a tour of the city tomorrow, Khattar Chaaya, general manager of Alireza Travel & Tours for Western and Eastern provinces, told Arab News yesterday.
He said a daylong tour of the city had been organized for the visitors who mostly belong to the United States, Europe and Japan tomorrow.
From the Jeddah Islamic Port, they will proceed to the fish market and take a walking tour of the city including Naseef House in downtown Balad and its various souks and shopping centers. They will also visit a commercial center and lunch at Hotel Qasr Al-Sharq. They will next take a guided tour of the Corniche and visit Abdul Rauf Khaleel Museum and drive back to the ship by evening.
The Silver Cloud Voyage 1809, as the vessel bears the name, commenced its journey from Dubai on March 26. It is coming here after visiting Fujairah in the UAE and Salalah in Oman.
It will proceed from here to Safaga in Egypt, Aqaba in Jordan and Sharm El-Sheikh in Egypt and end its journey in Athens, Greece, via the Suez Canal on April 10.
Chaaya said that another passenger ship, Whisper, will arrive with 382 tourists on April 27.
